Arlington Supercross

February 20, 2019

If you missed Saturday night’s Supercross in Arlington, you missed one of the best races of the season and the closest finish in Supercross history. It was an incredible night for Cooper Webb who set the fastest Qualifying time and took 3rd in his Heat. In the Main, Coop had a lackluster 7th place start and after a few laps he caught fire, pushing past each rider until he had first place (Roczen) in his sights. On the last lap, in the last corner, only a couple dozen yards from the finish line, Coop was side by side with Roczen; it was then a drag race to the finish line where Coop won by .028 of a second. An unbelievable ride for Cooper Webb that will not soon be forgotten. Coop will also run the Red Plate at the next round in Detroit.

It was the second win in a row in the 250SXE division for Austin Forkner who had as perfect a night as you can have in Supercross. Forkner was fastest Qualifier, won his Heat race and then took the holeshot in the Main and put on a clinic taking the overall win. Forkner leads the 250SXE points series.b
