It’s MotoGP weekend and Ride Texas is gearing up for the fun. We’ll be at the Circuit of The Americas track in Austin for all of the action. I prepped for race day a couple of weeks ago, when I had the opportunity to take two laps around the track with a professional Superbike racer.

The two-seater hot lap rides were being offered to the media as part of the MotoAmerica Pre-Season Test Powered by Dunlop on March 24. Chris Ulrich, a racer for Team Hammer and the Racing Editor for Roadracing World Magazine took the reins, (or rather, the handlebars). It was a wild ride, complete with high speeds and extreme leans.

Watch the video below to get an idea of what it was like being on the track. I will be picturing all those red and white stripes zooming by as I watch the races this weekend.

Also, a quick thank you to, Chris for letting me be his 909th two-seater ride. And, another thank you from my mother and my boss for keeping me in one piece.
