For seekers of twisty roads and swimming holes, we submit the following suggestion for your enjoyment: Park Road 4 to Inks Lake State Park near Burnet, Texas. Park Road 4 twists around the edge of the Llano Uplift, providing great views of the plains below. The area is marked with other interesting roads as well, including the very popular FM 1431. It’s a classic trip, that’s hard to beat as far as all around roads, sights and the ability to cool off in a real swimming hole. Just GO!
