Hill Country Autumn
The Leakey/Vanderpool area is a good one for autumn colors (unless there’s been a deep drought). FMs 335, 336 and 337, of course are the main draws here any time of year, but autumn is a particularly good time to turn you handlebars this direction, when the summer heat has abated, the leaves are turning, and the apple pie is devilishly delicious, and served up fresh in Medina.
More than just twisties
There are a lot of sights and small towns along FM 337, so it’s recommended to slow down and soak up the local goodness. Also, the local law enforcement can hear you coming from a mile away, and there’s no hospital nearby, so take it easy out there, cowboy. As we always say, just GO!
