Hill Country Back Road Ride

Join riders for a back road Hill Country ride from the historic Pecan Grove Store on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

All bike makes and riders are welcome. Meet up at PGS at 12:00 noon; kickstands up at 1:00 PM.

July 19th Ride: Old #9 Road ride (100% paved) is approximately 3 hours round trip, including a stop at Hillbilly’s of Texas Bar & Grill. They will return on Hwy 1376 with a stop in Luckenbach, then head back to PGS via Jung Lane. But you’re welcome to make your way home from Hillbilly’s or Luckenbach.

Old #9 in Gillespie County, Texas, is a historic route, also known as Old Fred Road or Old San Antonio Road, that runs between Comfort and Fredericksburg. It’s a scenic road that follows the path of early German settlers’ roads, offering a glimpse into the region’s history. The route is popular with motorcyclists and those seeking a less traveled path.

Pecan Grove Store will be planning a monthly ride. Each ride is unique.
