Texas has more than its rightful share of interesting town names, Bug Tussle is surely one of them. So interesting in fact, the Texas State Historical Association reports that over 70 Bug Tussle highway signs have been stolen, so there’s no highway sign there anymore. They gave up.

Bug Tussle at at the junction of  FM 1550 and TX 34, in Fannin County, northeast of Dallas. It’s not on the map, but it’s there. Don’t blink!
