Mountains, Music & Motorcycles – Mountain View, Arkansas

August 16 - August 18

FREE

FREE Event with something for everyone…

The event brings in visitors that are exposed to the unique culture of this area. Mountains, Music, and Motorcycles focused on the fact that Mountain View and the region is a motorcycle destination for motorcycle enthusiasts from around the nation.

This motorcycle event started fourteen years ago with no budget and heavily dependent on volunteers. The first event drew about 350 motorcyclists. 2010 saw an estimated 10,000 bikes.  Last year saw an estimated 15,000+bikes.

It is still operated and managed by volunteers (178 volunteers for 1,552 hours) and all funds raised for the event pay for the event.  The Mountain View Chamber sponsors this event each year, the third weekend in August. It is free to the public and features many family activities. It is a major fundraiser for multiple charity groups over the years. This year’s charity will be Royal Family KIDS, the Nation’s leading network of Camps, Clubs, and Mentoring for children of abuse, abandonment and neglect.

The event offers poker runs, a bike show, biker games, car show, vendors and multiple free concerts, all centered on the town square. Sunday morning the event ends with a biker church service in the natural setting of the city park amphitheater.

Parking around the historic town square is restricted to motorcycles only during Saturday’s activities. It has grown from the town square to encompass many side streets and other business parking lots.

As Roadrunner Magazine states in an article that focused on Ozark Mountain Rides (June 2010) “This is some of the finest motorcycling in the US, period.

Texas Spyders in the Hills

October 18 - October 19

Spyders in the Hills Homecoming! When your favorite Texas Spyder rally was born, it was first held in Kerrville, TX, about 35 miles from Boerne, where it has been for the last several years.  Although Boerne was wonderful to your Team Texas, we have outgrown the venue (among other conflicts) and had to look for other opportunities.  The new venue is amazing, and will be a great place for us to have our Spyder fun! …
