Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas

March 1, 2020 - November 1, 2020

$30

This tour is a self-guided motorcycle tour that has stops throughout the state of Texas. The tour is open to all types of motorcycles (as defined by Texas Law) and riders/passengers. All riders must be at least 18 years old and licensed to operate a motorcycle. Riders are to be safety conscience and obey traffic laws.

Participants in the tour will visit tour stops that include roadside attractions, historical sites, memorials, unique geography, and biker friendly businesses.

For 2020, there will be approximately 30 tour stops. The tour will start on or about March 1, 2020 and end on or about November 15, 2020. The tour stop locations will be posted on this web site. Participants are to register for the tour on this web page. After they register, they will be provided with a rally flag. Each rally flag will have a unique number. The participants are to take a picture of their motorcycle and their rally flag at the tour stop. Ensure that the picture shows the tour stop in the background (i.e. signage, statue, etc.). Participants shall e-mail the picture to the Tour Coordinator in order to receive credit for the stop.

Participants that visit 15 or more of the tour stops and make tour stops before the end of the tour, will receive credit as Finishers of the tour. Finishers of the tour will receive a patch that reflects that they completed the 2020 Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas.

Participants in the tour will receive points for each tour stop that is properly documented.  The point value of each tour stop will be posted to this web site.  Some of the tour stops will be at sponsor locations (biker friendly businesses). One to three “pop-up” tour stops may be added to the tour. The locations and points for those stops would be published on this web site during the tour.

Participants can receive additional points for purchases that they make with the sponsors.  To do so, they must email a picture of a receipt from the sponsor’s business.  A maximum of three receipts per business may be submitted.  For purchases of $1.00 to $50.00, participants will receive five points.  For purchases of $50.01 or more, participants will receive 10 points.

The participants with the top three number of points will be recognized on the web page as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers and will receive prizes.

This will be a fun tour and give you a great excuse to get out and explore the great state of Texas! Be sure to join the e-mail list. Ride safely and enjoy the tour
