Magnolia Days Festival

May 15, 2020

Free of Charge to attend

Magnolia Days Festival is held the third weekend in May in beautiful, historic downtown Columbus, Texas. Located just 75 miles west of downtown Houston, 90 miles from Austin and 125 miles from San Antonio just blocks off of I-10, Columbus offers “big time fun in small town Texas” during the day and a half festival. There are typically 10 or so musical performances; a plethora of kids activities, merchandise vendors too many to list, food vendors offering everything from Mexican, Spanish, and Cajun food, to good ‘ole Texas barbecue. You’ll find a variety of sno cones and shaved ice, ice cream and other sweet treats. You will enjoy the biergarten and wine garden in the shade of the trees on the Courthouse Square. There is even a Car Show and Art Show for your viewing pleasure. The Columbus Historical Preservation Trust hosts a Tour of Historic Homes and Properties in conjunction with the Magnolia Days Festival and a presentation of Magnolia Belles. The Magnolia Belles are high school seniors dressed in period costumes and this tradition dates back to the early 60’s. There is something for everyone at the Magnolia Days Festival. Hope to “see you there on the square”.
